Personal Independence Payment (PIP) helps with some of the extra costs caused by long-term ill-health or a disability if you're aged 16 to 64.
You can also get a fast-tracked award of PIP if you are not expected to live more than 6 months.
The DWP started to move people aged 16 to 64 off Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and on to PIP from 8 April 2013. Those aged 65 and over at that time remained on DLA.
Go to the government's website to find out more about both PIP and DLA.
