Community Provider's Coronavirus response

These are challenging times for us all. There is no way of knowing how long it will be before things return to normal. However, community providers are adapting the way in which they work.   Many centres and hubs are closing their face to face operations and moving to telephone, online or contactless support of their members

This is the current status of providers and we will update this:

    The centre is closed with all 1-2-1 and activity sessions ended, except for essential tasks.  The centre is looking at replacing existing activity sessions with Skype clubs. 
    Social Clubs by Skype:
    • Art Group will be offered via Skype each Tuesday at 11:00. New members are welcome.
    • Chair Based Exercise Groups will be offered via Skype each Thursday at 14:00 and at 15:00. New members are welcome.

    Carers Network are not running group sessions or activity sessions. They can contacted online or by phone for assessments, information or advice. .  They are running online carers forum and activities such as quizzes, fitness, arts and craft, and social groups

    Centre is closed til further notice, but Meals on Wheels and Telephone Befriending is available to members but have spare capacity to provide this for non-members.

    Centre is closed until further notice, but will running the programmes remotely below:
    • Information, Advice & Guidance: Confidential support with issues around housing, benefits, education, immigration etc.

    • Employment Support: 1-2-1 support to help residents find and apply for jobs, including CV and cover letter writing and interview practice

    • Adult Learning: English, Maths and ICT classes for adult learners

    • Wellbeing and group sessions 
      Speaking and reading groups may resume via Zoom video sessions. Ear acupuncture clinic closed. For more information, email wellbeing@clementjames.org
