Community Q&As about Bone and Joint care in North West London
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust will be holding two community events (online) about a new orthopaedic centre:
- Tuesday 14 June, 13.00 – 14.30
- Thursday 16 June, 19.00 – 20.30
About the sessions:
- We’re looking to hear views about routine orthopaedic surgery (such as knee or hip replacements) and wider musculoskeletal services (bone and joint services including physiotherapy, pain management and other community-based care).
- We are working up plans to improve the quality of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal services and to help reduce the long waiting times for routine surgery that have built up during the Covid-19 pandemic. We want to understand the needs, views and preferences of patients, potential patients and carers to help us achieve better outcomes and experience.
- We have commissioned a company called Verve to undertake a series of focus groups and two community events, all of which will take place online during June and early July.
- We hope that you might be able to help Verve to recruit people to the focus groups and to spread the word about the community events. We will be offering £20 gift vouchers to focus group participants as a small thank you for their time and contribution. The community events include a Q&A with doctors and other clinicians.
