Individual employer funding
Whether you employ your own care and support using an adult social care direct payment (personal budget) or using your own money ('self-funder'), as an individual employer you can apply for this funding to train yourself and your personal assistants (PAs). Funding can be used to cover:
- the cost of training to develop the knowledge of your PA and your skills as an employer
- hiring replacement support whilst your usual PA is attending training courses
- travel costs to get to and from training.
The deadline for applications is 17:00 on Friday 15 March 2024 and any training that you want to be funded must be started by 30 April 2024.
