Health Advice In BSL

This is Sign Language Week 16 – 22 March 2020. 

Health Advice is hard to come by in sign language. It’s one of the reasons that Deaf people are more likely to be undiagnosed, or poorly treated, for a range of health conditions.

To be able to be well-informed and make healthy choices is a challenge for a Deaf person because they need a BSL interpreter, and it is a struggle for Deaf BSL users to access critical advice and information about specific health information, such as the current Coronavirus pandemic.
