This year Silver Sunday falls this Sunday on 4 October and will celebrate the contribution that older people make in the community with a week long programme of activities and events across the borough.

With social distancing restrictions still in place, Silver Sunday is going to look very different this year, but it is needed more than ever. Celebrate Silver Sunday in any way you choose whether it’s on your doorstep, indoors, outdoors or online.

Organisations and community groups across the three boroughs will be hosting an exciting range of special events including.

Open Age's Silver Sunday Dance-a-thon
To celebrate Silver Sunday, Open Age are hosting a Dance-a-thon on Friday 2nd October, consisting of 6 different dance classes from 10am - 4pm. Grab your dancing shoes and join them online for six fabulous hours of dance classes with the best instructors and fantastic music. All abilities welcome. Celebrating the 50+ community!  To  book, email bookings@openage.org.uk and let them know which dance you'd like.

Silver Sunday Virtual Concert Thursday 8th October 2pm to 3pm
The Marble Arch London BID would like to invite you to join us for a free virtual concert as part of the national campaign, Silver Sunday 2020. Guests will be treated to a set of pre-recorded songs performed by local primary aged students from Hampden Gurney C of E Primary and Connaught House School.
