The Upper Room

The Upper Room has expanded from a small soup kitchen supporting the local homeless community into a dynamic charity offering a range of services to address the immediate and longer term needs of their beneficiaries.

Their new ‘Hub for the Homeless’ has four interlinked strands: UR4Meals, UR4Jobs, UR4Driving and UR4Counselling. Not only do they provide hot meals, clothing and toiletries, but they also offer practical support and advice, professional counselling and help into employment. Their new, purpose-built premises provide a welcoming and safe environment where they can gain the trust of their beneficiaries and help them resolve issues, develop greater resilience and take positive steps towards a better future.

The Upper Room is embedded in the local community and their teams of volunteers are integral in helping us to deliver our services.
