The Butterworth Centre
The Butterworth Centre is a hospital for patients with continuing care needs situated in the grounds of the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth in St John’s Wood, a short walking distance from Lord’s Cricket Ground and the Abbey Road Studios.
The hospital is divided into three sections, comprising 14 bedrooms, an activities and quiet lounge, dining area and day lounges.
All of the 42 single furnished en-suite rooms come with television points and patients make their rooms their own, with personal ornaments, pictures and even small items of furniture.
With several lounges, dining rooms, and an activities room, patients can enjoy a range of activities.
The Butterworth Centre is run by Sanctuary Care.
Continuing Care means care provided over an extended period of time to a person with physical or mental health needs which have arisen as a result of disability, an accident or illness. Patients must be assessed for their eligibility for NHS continuing care.
